Applying for an Examination
Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Examination
The RES Examination is administered by CEA’s appointed exam administrators, Informatics and NTUC Learning Hub. The appointed exam administrators shall carry out the registration of candidates, conduct the examination and also inform candidates of their results. The RES Examination is held on the 2nd weekend (Sat and Sun) of every month. The frequency of the RES examination can be increased depending on demand. The fee for each RES examination is $246.10 (inclusive of GST) per candidate, and $149.80 (inclusive of GST) per paper per candidate retaking the exam (with effect from the August 2011 RES examination). Course Requirement for New Entrants:
New entrants must meet the educational qualification of at least 4 GCE “O” Level passes or equivalent, which is one of the regulatory requirements for salespersons.
Applicants having other qualifications (eg. overseas qualifications or private diplomas etc.) will need to have their qualifications assessed by CEA for purpose of determining whether the educational qualification requirement is met. They may submit scanned copies (limit to 5Mb maximum) of their qualifications together with the Request Form via e-mail to the Approved Course Provider which they are interested to enrol for the course.
Applicants who have attained Level 5 and above for the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessment in these 5 components (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing and Numeracy) will be recognised in lieu of 4 GCE “O” level passes.
