How to be property agent in Singapore?
Step #1
Estate Agent Act 2010 states that all person who wish to be a real estate salesperson must be licensed. In order to be a licensed sales person, he/she must have the relevant qualification or at least be qualified** to take up the basic RES Course in Pioneer Training & Consultancy which is a CEA accredited RES course provider.
Step #2
Look for a mentor who can guide you in your journey to be a successful real estate salesperson. Once you found your mentor, you can register with any license real estate agencies and start practicing as a real estate salesperson.
Please also note that each agency have their own company policy to accept you. Most agencies will require you to pay for their in-house real estate courses before fully accepting you to be their salesperson. Step #3
In order to maintain your Real Estate Salesperson, you must fulfill 6 hours of CPD courses each year taken from any of the accredited training centre.

RES Course Application
Minimum criteria
- Interested applicant must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Minimum 4 GCE ‘O’ level or Equivalent
* Individuals who are unable to meet these criteria will be required to take the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessment administered by WDA. A WPLN (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing and Numeracy) Level 5 will be recognised in lieu of 4 GCE “O” level passes. Click here for more details on WPLN.
